The Summer Reading Challenge is a free service offered by the Upper Hutt City Library. There is no cost for entry, as the library is funded by the Upper Hutt City Council and as such the challenge is fully subsidised. This means that anybody can take part in the challenge, whether they come from a low-income family or otherwise.
